Officially, Carteron coached the Saudi cooperation for two seasons

The Saudi Football Cooperation Club announced that it has signed a contract with the former coach of Zamalek, the Egyptian-French Patrice Carteron, to take over the technical leadership of the team for two seasons.

Al-Taawon stated through his official account on the "Twitter" website that Carteron will sign the contract upon his arrival in Qatar, where the team is present to play the remainder of the AFC Champions League group stage competitions, as Doha will host the matches until the third of next October.

Carteron had informed his former club Zamalek of Egypt of his desire to leave the team, where he paid the value of terminating his contract, which amounted to a quarter of a million dollars.

Zamalek's board of directors, led by Mortada Mansour, tried to convince the coach to stay and continue, while raising his annual salary in proportion to what he had recently achieved, but the Frenchman refused decisively, preferring to leave.

Carteron led Zamalek to win the African Super Cup and the Egyptian Super Cup earlier this year, with access to the semi-finals of the African Champions League.

The cooperation has sacked Portuguese Vitor Camplios and assigned Asiri to lead the team, which is currently completing its AFC Champions League campaign, after he managed to escape relegation to the First Division.
