LeBron James, 35, is one of the basketball world's greatest players, he has for several years used his platform to make his opinion heard in politics as well.

In recent months, he has been active in the Black Lives Matter movement and he was a driving factor when NBA games were postponed due to police brutality.

Now experts believe that his impact on politics is so great that he will be a real force for the Democrats in the presidential election.

"He has the respect and credibility of the black population, so he's a huge asset," Karen Finney, who was part of Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign, told Indian Express.

In 2016, there was low turnout among the black population and the reasons for this were said to be, among other things, disinformation campaigns and attempts to restrict voting rights.

That is why LeBron James has now founded the organization "More than a vote".

- Honestly, our society is completely fucking sick.

I know you're tired of hearing that, but blacks in America are scared.

Black men, women and children are terrified, because you never know what might happen.

I hope to continue to be a positive force for my local community, for the country at large and for the black United States.

One reason I founded More than a vote was to make people understand how important our voices are, says the basketball star.

Even from the Republican side, it is recognized that James can become a significant barrel.

- If he can get some extra votes, he will make a difference.

The difference between him and some other celebrities is that he does not get involved in all issues, so he has credibility and he is disciplined, says political strategist Amy Koch.
