The World Cup of biathletes and biathletes premieres at the end of November.

The Alpine World Cup premieres in just one month.

Everyone will be affected by the fluoride ban, but despite this, the International Ski Federation (Fis) and the International Biathlon Federation (IBU) have now postponed the national federations' first opportunity to test skis with the new technology.

The tests were to be done on September 23-24, but now it will be in October instead.

- Before all national teams stand in line and test their skis, we assess that we need to make more fine-tuning and we will return as soon as possible, says IBU's Swedish chairman Olle Dahlin to SVT Sport.

Dahlin sees no major problems with the test opportunity being postponed.

- We are close to the season, but it is already clear that a fluoride ban applies.

When it comes to working with alternative walls and such, there is no difference.

This applies to the measurement method where we must check that you follow the regulations, he says.

Do you expect to have time to get a reliable test device in time?

- This is our assessment, but the important thing towards the active is that it is a fluoride ban that you have to relate to, says Dahlin.

"This creates problems"

The fluorine association thus affects both the cross-country and biathlon national teams.

The national team of the national length team, Petter Myhlback, opens up so that the entire ban can be postponed until next season.

- You realize that it is starting to run out of time.

You can be involved in all directions, but we are well prepared even if it should be postponed.

If it does not become a control function for the winter, you can not run a fluoride-free World Cup, he says.

Myhlback is open with the fact that it is starting to get rushed ahead of the season.

- This creates problems for us because we have very many skis that we must ensure are fluoride-free.

It's starting to get really rushed.

It is a bit disturbing that there is uncertainty and that we do not really know how to act.

That is the biggest concern, he says.

"It's speculation"

He still thinks it will work out in the end.

- We have chosen to adapt to the rules that come and had faith that an organization like Fis can solve it.

If they say that there will be a control device next season, I have chosen to go on that line.

There has also been talk that the fluoride ban and a possible substandard testing of skis could lead to cheating, but Myhlback does not think so.

He does not see that the difference between fluorvalla and the alternatives is so great.

- It's speculation.

We have run test operations throughout the spring and summer and I think that the replacement products that are available are at a very high level.

Then it may be in some problem areas where it will be an advantage to have fluoride.

Then you may have to perform more tests when it happens before, says the election manager.
