High School Men's Rhythmic Gymnastics Online Tournament Aomori Yamada Wins New Corona September 13th 19:41

Following the cancellation of the national high school as a whole due to the influence of the new coronavirus, an online men's rhythmic gymnastics competition was held, and Aomori Yamada High School in Aomori Prefecture won the championship.

This tournament was held by the Japan Gymnastics Association to provide a place for athletes who have been canceled one after another by the national high school championships.

The tournament was contested by a group of 6 people acting per team, and 19 schools that won the preliminary round last month based on the images taken by each school participated in the final on the 13th.

In the final, cameras were installed in the practice areas of each school, and the videos taken were relayed on a video site and distributed, and the referees watched the videos and scored them.

Of these, Aomori Yamada High School won the championship with a high score for a long flight, a high jump, and a beautiful choreography that used the tips of the limbs flexibly to match the moist piano piece.

Captain Ryosuke Tanaka said, "Because it is online, we aimed for a performance that is easy for everyone to see. We were able to show the beauty of Aomori Yamada and give back to the director and parents."
