Atletico reached the Champions League quarter-finals last season, so according to La Liga's arrangements, their league games before the 26th of this month have been postponed to allow enough rest time for several giants.

Their first La Liga match was against Granada on the 27th.

Simeone's test results also added some obstacles to the team's preparation for the new season.
