The team said that Simeone is an asymptomatic infected person and has returned home for isolation.

Atletico Madrid wrote in a statement: “Since a team member of the team tested positive for the new crown on Thursday, the club quickly followed La Liga’s arrangements and notified all players in San Rafael early Friday morning. The players, coaching staff and staff who participated in the training camp went home immediately and arranged another test before everyone went home. In the latest new crown test, Simeone tested positive. Our head coach is currently Isolate at home and have no symptoms."

Atletico reached the Champions League quarter-finals last season, so according to La Liga's arrangements, their league games before the 26th of this month have been postponed to allow enough rest time for several giants.
