INTERVIEW

A "macho and polluting" Tour de France?

In any case, this is the opinion of the mayor of Lyon, the ecologist Grégory Doucet.

Gérard Collomb's successor is due to host the competition on Saturday in his city and that does not really delight him.

Hence this charge which did not go unnoticed and triggered a wave of negative reactions.

Friday on Europe 1, it is Christian Prudhomme, the director of the Tour de France, who answered these accusations.

"We have been involved for several years in an environmental approach", reminded the boss of the biggest cycling race in the world.
