Jonas Gustavsson broke through with a bang in the elite series with Färjestad in the 2008-09 season.
After that, there were eight seasons in the NHL before he returned to Sweden in 2017, where there were games with Linköping.

The idea was that he would play there this season as well, but today - just eight days before the SHL premiere - the club announced that "Monstret" has chosen to pause his ice hockey career due to personal reasons.
"The LHC respects and supports Jonas in his decision and is very grateful for what he has brought to the Club so far.
Due to Jonas' break, the LHC will as soon as possible recruit another goalkeeper for the SHL squad ", the LHC writes on the club's website.
During his career, 35-year-old Gustavsson has, among other things, won an Olympic silver, a Swedish Championship gold and two World Cup bronzes.
