"I am really happy about the opportunity to move to Sweden with my family and look forward to working with Swedish cricket," said Rhodes, who is currently one of several coaches in Kings XI Punjab in the Indian giant league.

Rhodes, who is considered one of the cricket world's greatest ever, will start his employment in November.

"His zeal to support our vision in Sweden as head coach will be incredibly valuable in helping our development move forward," said Zalmay Daftani, chairman of the Swedish Cricket Association.

Cricket is on the rise, and according to the association, it is the second fastest growing sport in Sweden right now.
