The PSG-OM Classic has not yet started and yet the Marseillais have already inflicted a first defeat on their best enemies.

How? 'Or' What ?

With the appointment at the general meeting of Vincent Labrune, their former president from 2011 to 2016, at the head of the Professional Football League.

The former OM boss, more discreet than ever since leaving the club, won the duel he was leading against the favorite Michel Denisot.

Labrune is anything but unknown to the authorities.

Member of the board as an independent, he has always kept in touch with football 🇫🇷, its leaders.

It is nonetheless a huge surprise.

According to the joint information from our colleagues from

L'Equipe

and RMC Sport, Vincent Labrune was elected by 15 votes against 10 for Michel Denisot and 47% by a relative majority.

If it was very rare in the media for several years, Vincent Labrune has nonetheless remained very close to the world of football since he was already a member of the board of directors of the LFP as an independent.

It is now up to him to bring together and pacify French football which has never seemed so disunited as since the health crisis linked to Covid-19.

Good luck to him ...
