Sergio Pérez, known in the paddock as Checo Pérez, is running out of time at the Racing Point team and, unless something comes up until the end of the year, his time in Formula 1. At 30, the Mexican is only clear that he will not remain in the team owned by Canadian millionaire Lawrence Stroll, father of his partner Lance Stroll, who will be called Aston Martin next year.

"Everything has a beginning and an end," he announced with a letter on his Twitter account.

It doesn't have to be the end of his F1 career, where he landed in 2011 with Sauber, but ...

After seven years in the team, where he landed with the Indian businessman Vijay Mallya, when it was called Force India, Sergio Pérez will put an end to his stage.

"Personally it hurts because I bet a lot for the team in very difficult moments; they managed to get ahead and I am proud to have saved the work of many of my colleagues," he admitted on social networks.

Pérez has played 182 grands prix and has achieved eight podiums.

Curiously, his best classifications were signed with Sauber, where he was second at Monza and Malaysia 2012. In 2013 he got to drive a McLaren, being a teammate of Jenson Button.

The Mexican admitted that he does not know what his future will be and even if it will be linked to Formula 1. "I do not have a plan B. My idea is, of course, to continue here, but as long as a project is presented that motivates me to continue giving 100 percent in each round, "he argued.

There are some unconfirmed rumors speak of a possible replacement of Pérez by Vettel.

The 33-year-old German four-time world champion is due to leave Ferrari and has not yet made his intentions known for the rest of his career.
