"Inject a new dynamic"

"I am making public today my decision to present my resignation to the administrators of SA EAG, which I have chaired since June 2011", can be read in particular on the club's website.

Bertrand Desplat announces that he will support the current vice-president Frédéric Legrand to ensure his succession during the next board of directors.

“It is time today to inject a new dynamic into our club, and to open a new cycle.

Spending almost 10 years leading a pro club is a rare achievement in modern football, and I can appreciate the luck that has been mine throughout these long years, ”said Bertrand Desplat.

According to him, he leaves the Côtes-d'Armor club "in full financial health" with "€ 12 million of patiently saved own funds, over the 10 positive accounting years that I have managed".

On the sporting side, under his presidency, the now former president of the Reds and Blacks recalls that he obtained "a rise in Ligue 1 after 9 years of absence, a Coupe de France, presented in a city in jubilation, a historic epic in Europa League, and six consecutive seasons in Ligue 1, which had never been seen before in En Avant ”.
