After an X-ray yesterday, Örebro and Heidi Kollanen received the message today that her cruciate ligament is off.

- She probably can not count on playing football in twelve months, and if you are someone who lives on football, you of course take it hard.

And when she has been so good this year too, then it's tough, says coach Stefan Ärnsved to NA.

Kollanen has played in Örebro since the summer of 2019. This year she has scored two goals and six assists in the damallsvenskan and is one of the strongest scorers in Örebro.

It was in Friday's match against Växjö that Kollanen injured his right knee and was forced to step down in the 86th minute.

At present, it is not clear when the 23-year-old will have surgery.

Already after five rounds, twelve players in the damallsvenskan had injured the cruciate ligament before the season or during the first matches.

At the end of August, Gothenburg's team doctor Matilda Lundblad said that she wanted to see stricter requirements for the medical teams on the women's side.

- I hope for a supplement in the medical requirements on the women's side, she told SVT Sport.
