Deschamps did not diminish "respect for anyone" in Saint-Germain after Mbappe was infected with Corona

France coach Didier Deschamps denied that he had "disrespected anyone", in response to the anger of Brazilian Leonardo, sporting director of Paris Saint-Germain, regarding the issue of the team's star, Kylian Mbappe, with the new Corona virus during his stay with his country.

The results of the tests for "Covid-19" that the world champion players underwent on Monday evening, while the team was training at the "Stade de France" stadium, as France Football magazine revealed Mbappe's injury before his club knew about it.

Thus, the injury prevented Mbappe, who scored the 1-0 victory over Sweden on Saturday, from participating against Croatia on Tuesday in a replay of the World Cup Russia 2018 final, which ended with the same result in France's 4-2 victory.

The management of the roosters team was hoping to obtain confirmation from the laboratory before informing the capital club, but as soon as the news spread, it decided to issue a statement indicating Mbabe was injured, according to what Deschamps said.

"So that things do not go in all directions and be interpreted as they are, we decided to issue a statement. We were in a hurry. I am not looking for an excuse. There was a little doubt but we were supposed to look confirmation," he explained.

He continued, "We planned (to inform Paris Saint-Germain) but were surprised. I am sorry to the PSG officials, but I can never consider that we have disrespected anyone."

It is certain that Mbappe will miss the start of St. Germain's career in the French League, where he will be a guest of Lens in the second stage, after the Parisian club missed the inaugural stage (against Metz) as a result of its long continental season.
