The English defender, who took part in the World Cup bronze in 2015, left Manchester United for the French big club Lyon just over a year ago.

Now she is leaving France, after a year that meant both victory in the league and the Champions League.

"A new challenge"

Now, just ten days after the Chamions League final against Wolfsburg, it is clear that she returned to Manchester.

But not to United, but to local rival City.

- Now it's time for me to take on a new challenge.

After being part of such a successful season as the last one was, I got a taste for that winning mentality.

It is addictive and I want to build on it in City, says the 27-year-old on the club's website, and continues:

- The club has always impressed me with their successes, what great importance they have had for women's football, the players they attract and the environment that is there.

So I'm really looking forward to working there.
