Barcelona's modest offer shock Manchester City
Barcelona surprised Manchester City with a modest offer to sign Spanish defender Eric Garcia during the current summer transfer season.
The Catalan newspaper "Sport" said: "Barcelona made an offer worth eight million euros, with two million variables, but it is far from what Manchester City wanted, which set 40 million to sell Garcia."
She added that "German City is aware of the need to reduce the financial demands of Bigg, the Spanish player, especially as Garcia will leave next summer for free."
