Syria national team meets Kuwait in Dubai as a friendly

The Secretary-General of the Syrian Football Association, Ibrahim Aba Zaid, confirmed today, Monday, that the first Syrian team will meet its Kuwaiti counterpart amicably in Dubai next month.

Abu Zaid indicated that "the Syrian national team will undergo a training camp in the Emirates from 5 to 13 October next and will meet Kuwait on the 12th of it."


The Syrian team, with its local players, finished a few days ago a local training camp led by the new Tunisian coach Nabil Maaloul, which lasted about four weeks, in preparation for the completion of the double qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 Asian Cup.


It is mentioned that the Syrian team leads the first Asian group with the full score with 15 points, compared to 7 Points for China and the Philippines, 3 points for the Maldives, and none for Guam.
