The first semifinal was just over two minutes old when John Klingberg hit a hard shot in Vegas' goalkeeper Marc-Andre Fleury's lower right corner.

It was Dallas' first shot on goal.

But then it stopped.

Marc-Andre Fleury held tight to the cage the other 24 pucks he received during the match, thus almost matching Dallas goalkeeper Anton Chudobin, who kept a clean sheet thanks to 25 saves.

Third goal in the playoffs

Klingberg's goal is his third during the playoffs and Dallas' victory means that the team takes the lead against Vegas with 1-0 in the best of seven games.

The next meeting between the teams is the night before Wednesday, Swedish time.

In between, the second semifinal series, the one between the New York Islanders and Tampa Bay, kicks off.

On the night before Tuesday, the team will play its first semi-final meeting.
