18-year-old Solberg made his debut in the WC series WRC last year.

His best placement before this weekend's competition in Estonia, where he just like earlier this year drove in the third division WRC-3, was a fifth place in the Swedish Rally.

Things were better in Estonia.

He took the lead in yesterday's fourth stretch, and then held it all the way to the finish.

When he crossed the finish line, he did so as a superior winner - for the first time in the WRC circus.

- Fantastic!

It was tough tracks and I could barely turn at the end so I drove slowly and carefully.

It was a very tough weekend with different conditions all the time.

But it was really fun and I enjoyed it all the time, he said in the official victory interview.

"Many who have doubted"

SVT Sports expert Jonas Kruse was impressed by Solberg's efforts, and insists that Solberg is a future world champion.

- In a couple of years so ... There are many who have doubted me but he gets the right chance in the right car, he says, and praises Solberg's efforts in Estonia:

- We all lift our hats!

This is really good, and the question is whether there has been anyone in Sweden who has been as promising as Oliver is at this age.

It's unbelievable!
