It has been a turbulent summer for Per-Anders Gustafsson.

His leadership has been criticized while others have stepped forward and defended him.

In July, the Nomination Committee sent a letter to Per-Anders Gustafsson in order to explain why the Nomination Committee had not proposed Gustafsson as the new chairman prior to the union meeting on 5 September.

In the letter, which Idrotten's Affärer was the first to report on and which SVT Sport read, the Nomination Committee writes that after talks with more than 100 people, a number of views have emerged that make him unsuitable for re-election.

What the Nomination Committee reacted most strongly to is that people say that they experience Gustafsson as arrogant and abusive.

- When we get these signals from people, we feel that we must act.

Because if you have a feeling, the feeling is yours.

I can not take it from you.

If someone comes to me, says "I'm scared", then I have to believe it, says the nomination committee's Bo Häggkvist to SVT Sport.

Excludes those who question

SVT Sport has been in contact with 15 people in Swedish bandy who confirm the picture given in the letter.

"He insults all people who have a different opinion - men and women.

It has become everyday food ", says one person.

Several people testify of a leader who wants to control everything and who excludes those who do not share his opinion or question him.

Per-Anders Gustafsson has been the coach of Villa Lidköping for 14 years in various rounds.

The 65-year-old has also won double Swedish Championship gold as a player with Vetlanda.

The abusive behavior is not something he recognizes himself in.

- I'm straight and know what I want with things.

Then I know that my weakness is that I sometimes say things the wrong way and I must definitely try to work on that, he says.

Jesper Kärrbrink nominated

Gustafsson is supported by several people that SVT Sport has been in contact with who describe him as a driven and passionate leader.

It is already clear that Gustafsson is standing for re-election.

Do you feel that you can stay after what has emerged?

- Yes, it is the case that we still live in a democracy.

My picture is that it is the majority that decides and should the majority have a different opinion, I have no problem accepting it.

The Nomination Committee has proposed Jesper Kärrbrink, 55, as the new chairman.

At the union meeting tomorrow, it is the members who decide who will be the new chairman for the coming year.

- The hope is that we end up in a good position for bandy and that Swedish bandy associations and districts choose the right union chairman and board, says the nomination committee's Bo Häggkvist.
