The captain of the Spanish national football team, Sergio Ramos, confirmed that his team deserved a 1/1 draw with the German national team at the opening of the two teams' journey in the second edition of the European Nations League.

The German national team (Manschaft) advanced with a goal scored by Werner, newly joined Chelsea, in the 51st minute, but the Spanish team grabbed a 1-1 draw in the sixth minute of the match's stoppage time.

"If the German national team had won the match, it would have been an unfair result," Ramos said.

He added, "Things were despairing, but we preserved our faith and confidence, kept our shape and got what we deserved."
