Paris Saint-Germain, the French soccer league champion, announced the day before yesterday, about three new infections with the new Corona virus in its ranks, bringing the number to six cases in its squad after revealing on Wednesday three similar cases, including the Brazilian star Neymar.

"Recent tests confirm three new positive cases," the club wrote on its Twitter account, which raises doubts about maintaining the postponed match from the second stage in the league against Lens, scheduled for September 10.

The first three cases were of Neymar and the Argentinians Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes, after spending their vacation on the Spanish island of Ibiza.

Then medical sources close to the players confirmed to (AFP) the identities of the three players, and requested that their name not be revealed for reasons related to the professional secrecy between the doctor and the patient.

The specialist newspaper L'Equipe reported that the Brazilian defender Marquinhos, Argentine striker Icardi and Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who were also in Ibiza, were the other three cases.

The match was scheduled to take place against Lens last Saturday, but it was postponed with a controversial decision in order to give the players of the French capital a longer rest after their return from Lisbon following their loss in the Champions League final to Bayern Munich on August 23.

These injuries raise questions about the League’s decision to postpone the Saint-Germain match in Lens, which allowed players to travel abroad in light of the pandemic, despite the fact that the team played only five competitive matches in six months.

- It was previously announced that Brazilian Neymar, Di Maria and Parides were injured.
