Last year's season was interrupted due to the pandemic, even before the playoffs.

Borås was named champion on the men's side, Luleå got the title on the women's side.

- Of course we understood why, but sportingly we did not get the chance to show what we went for when it mattered most, says Robin Sandberg.

It was just over an extra month in preparation for the coming season, which begins in less than a month.

In the premiere on October 1, Luleå will face the 2019 champion, A3 Basket from Umeå.

Two days later, SVT broadcasts the meeting between Högsbo and Norrköping.

- It feels great that SVT is involved.

I remember when I was 18, 19 years old and had just started coaching.

They saw play-off matches on SVT and they are strong memories, because they dreamed of once being there, Robin Sandberg remembers.

- Extra fun that it is televised now when we do not know how many people we can take in.

Will Luleå win a play-off in the spring?

- Yes, I think so.

After maybe a tough start, we lift the dent.

SVT Sport broadcasts five league matches in October, two from the women's league and three from the men's league, which premieres on 18 October.

In total, there will be more than 50 league matches in SVT and SVT Play in the coming season.

- It will be a good interest, says Robin Sandberg.
