The draw for the 16th round of the Cup was awarded to Sharjah, the holder of the Arab Gulf League title, against Khorfakkan, while Shabab Al Ahly, the cup title holder, will face the Hatta team, Al Ain and Ajman, and in the strongest confrontations in this role, Al Nasr meets Al Wahda, Al Dhafra with Al Jazeera, Al Wasl with Fujairah, and Bani Yas is with the first in the second group in the preliminary playoffs for first-class clubs, while Kalba is with the first in the first group.

It is reported that the draw for the new season was held based on the approval of the results of the pre-season 2018-2019 season, as a result of canceling the 2019-2020 season competitions due to the Corona pandemic.

The draw ceremony was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The round of 16 matches in the cup will be played in a knockout system, and in all stages of the competition.

And another draw was conducted according to which the stadiums for the round of 16 and quarter-final matches will be held.


The two semi-final matches of the competition will be held at neutral stadiums determined by the Competitions Committee, while the FIFA Board of Directors decides the stadium on which the final match will be held, upon the recommendation of the committee.

After that, the preliminary qualifying ceremonies for the President's Cup for first-class clubs took place, as the participating clubs (11 clubs) were divided into two groups: the first included 6 clubs and the second 5 clubs, and one club for each group qualifies for the round of 16, knowing that the qualifiers are held on a system. One round, on the stadiums of the clubs first mentioned in the match schedule, starting from the 25th of this month until the 24th of next October.

The clubs were divided into two groups, after dividing them into three levels, according to their results in the First Division League for the 2019/2018 season, and the two clubs who won the 13th and 14th places of the Arab Gulf League, and the Dibba Fujairah team was drawn against Dhaid, and in cooperation with the Emirates, and Al Arabi with Al-Bataih, Masfoot and Masafi, and Al-Hamriya with Dibba Al-Hisn, while Al-Orouba was excluded from the first round matches.
