Man United star Rashford forms task force to combat child poverty

Manchester United star and the England national football team, Marcus Rashford, announced today the formation of a team of food brands to combat child poverty in Britain.

Brashford, 22, was praised for his efforts in the successful campaign to expand free school meals for poor families, during the crisis of the spread of the new Corona virus, when the government at that time intended to end its work in order to save expenses.

Rashford said, "We had to think about the best way to do that, and also to think that those families benefit from the meals for the largest possible time without problems." The English star had benefited from those meals during the study period.

He added, "We wanted to do this in the best possible way, as well as include the best people in our work group, and see if their presence would help us more."

Rashford has since written letters to local MPs, stating that he is confident his new group can change things for the better.

The group supported plans for a national food strategy, which aims to expand the range of school meals to include all children from the age of 7 years to 16 years who are supported by grants, which constitute about one and a half million children.

The plans also include activities during the holidays and to increase the value of food stamps, which have been dubbed "a good start."
