Carla Suárez has revealed this Tuesday that she suffers from Hodgkin's lymphoma and that she will have to undergo six months of chemotherapy, and has assured that she faces a "complicated reality" with tranquility and "positivity in the face of adversity."
"Hello everyone. I wanted to inform you that a few days ago the doctors detected a Hodgkin lymphoma that requires six months of chemotherapy. I am fine, I am calm and wanting to face what is coming", confirmed Suárez in a published video on their social networks.
"I have to face a complicated reality. I have to accept it and try to get ahead relying on medical advice. Always with positivity in the face of adversity," she added.
Later, he explained his situation in a statement.
"As I told you in previous weeks, I have
not been able to complete my training on the track and my gym routines normally for
a while
. By exposing myself to the intensity required by professional sports preparation, my body has been responding with a general indisposition. I have not been able to complete it. practice sessions since last July, "he said.
After experiencing this discomfort, the Gran Canaria was admitted to a hospital.
"We have sought medical answers to the appearance of these symptoms. The different tests carried out have required me to rest and have prevented me from participating in the two tournaments organized in New York during the months of August and September, as was my illusion after so many weeks away of the competition, "he said.
