Officially, Chelsea sign Brazilian Thiago Silva
Chelsea FC officially announced, on Friday, that it had signed a contract with Brazilian defender Thiago Silva, after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ended without reaching a renewal agreement, so that the former Milan star decided to go for a new professional experience in the English Premier League.
Chelsea said on his official account in "Twitter": "Our club has completed its contract with one of the big names in the world of football, as Thiago Silva joined us."
The club explained the length of the contract, saying: "The former Paris Saint-Germain defender signed a one-year contract, with the option to extend for another 12 months."
