Professional baseball NC Dinos has decided to withdraw the first nomination of a rookie in 2021 by Kim Yu-sung (Hae-go Kim), who was controversial over school violence in the past.

NC released a press release on the 27th and announced that "Kim Yu-sung will withdraw the first nomination for the 2021 rookie draft."

NC said, "The player engaged in school violence in middle school. We sincerely apologize to the students and their families who suffered damage."

He added, "The club could not thoroughly check the case of the player during the first nomination process. We bow our head once again and apologize. We will do our best to prevent this from reoccurring when selecting new players in the future."

He then emphasized, "The club will make more efforts to prevent illegal and unethical activities in Korean professional baseball."

On the 24th, NC selected Kim Yoo-sung as the first rookie nomination, but on the website of the club and on the internet space such as Facebook, there were reports that Kim Yoo-sung committed school violence during middle school (Naedong Middle School, Gyeongnam).

As a result of the NC investigation, it was confirmed that Kim Yoo-sung received a disposition related to school violence in the Naedong Middle School Violence Committee in 2017 and the Changwon District Court in 2018.

In response, the NC said, "It is the top priority for the victims and their families to receive sincere and sincere apologies from Kim Yu-sung's side," and "The club will help Kim Yu-sung's sincere apology."

However, on the morning of the 27th, the author, who is believed to be the parent of the victim, was posted on the NC website, criticizing the club's inappropriate response, saying, "The club scout called and asked'what do you want?"
