The “walk-out” could only last two days. ESPN reporter and NBA's best-informed source Adrian Wojnarowski said Thursday morning's players meeting in Orlando resulted in a vote to resume the season. If the matches could in absolute terms resume on Friday, it is rather expected that the play-offs will continue from Saturday.

Still according to ESPN, a second meeting is scheduled between two players from each team and club owners to discuss the various actions to be taken in the protest against police violence and to redraw the schedule for the rest of the season.

Anyway, the matches originally scheduled for Thursday evening will not take place. On Wednesday, the Milwaukee Bucks players did not appear on the floor, when they had to play their fifth game of the playoffs against Orlando. They decided to boycott the meeting to protest against police violence, while Jacob Blake was seriously injured on Sunday in Wisconsin. The NBA had announced that the three games scheduled for Wednesday (Orlando-Milwaukee, Thunder-Rockets and Blazers-Lakers) were postponed.

A complete cancellation of the season was mentioned for a while, with the Lakers and Clippers having voted in that direction.
