Dubai Sports Council celebrates Emirati Women's Day

The Dubai Sports Council celebrated the Emirati Women's Day, during a special forum for the Council’s female members in the Innovation Lab Hall at the Council’s headquarters.

The ceremony was attended by Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council Saeed Hareb, Assistant Secretary-General Nasser Aman Al Rahma, Executive Director and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Noor Dubai Foundation, Executive Director of the Primary Health Care Services Sector at the Dubai Health Authority Dr. Manal Tarim, and Chairman of the Women's Sports Committee in the Dubai Sports Council Al Mehrezi Kindergarten.

Saeed Hareb addressed the participants in the celebration from among the members of the Council, saying: “On Emirati Women's Day, we raise the highest verses of gratitude and gratitude to the rational leadership that has made the UAE a global model in the appreciation and empowerment of women, through a wise vision and sound directions to support women's participation in community leadership We also thank Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (Mother of the Emirates) for her efforts and initiatives to support and empower women in all fields.

He added, “The UAE is a pioneer with its feminist leaders in all fields, as well as in empowering young Emiratis. We have the largest number of female ministers in general, and young women ministers in particular, and in the Dubai Sports Council we follow the rational leadership approach and translate its directives. Therefore, women have a distinguished presence, whether in council membership. Managing or assuming the General Secretariat of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Sports Innovation, and taking over the management of various departments and sections, where the woman who represents our sister and daughter performs many tasks and contributes to achieving the Council’s vision of building a distinguished and happy sports community.

Hareb concluded: “Women have achieved remarkable and remarkable success at work, and therefore we are keen to give them more confidence and responsibilities. We will also continue to launch sports initiatives to spread the culture of women’s practice of sport and provide all means of success for them, because sport is a source of happiness and positive energy, and a happy woman. It means a happy and active family in society. ”

The Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council welcomed Dr. Manal Tarim, Executive Director of the Health Care Sector at the Dubai Health Authority, who participated in the celebration by giving a lecture on the role of women within the first line of defense, and she talked about inspiring realistic stories that embodied the will and contribution of Emirati women in addressing the pandemic (Covid-) 19), and preserving the safety of community members, side by side with the man.

Hareb also honored the head of the women's sport department in the council, Fawzia Faridoun, and the rest of the council’s female members, in appreciation of their distinguished and effective role in implementing the council’s plans and programs, and contributing to achieving its vision and goals to serve the nation and society.
