1986… That year, Daniel Balavoine, Coluche and Thierry Le Luron disappeared. Chernobyl and the Challenger shuttle explode. Top Gun and Jean de Florette hit the movies. Rugby side, Stade Toulousain retains its title of champion of France after a boring final against Agen (16-6), but with a mythical striped jersey on the back.

Thirty-four years and 16 Shields of Brennus later, the club is resuscitating this tunic for the 2020-2021 season, which is due to start on September 6 in Clermont, if the Covid-19 is willing. The style has been brought up to date, Nike has replaced Adidas and Thomas Ramos, Cheslin Kolbe and Cyril Baille have succeeded Serge Gabernet, Guy Novès and Serge Laïrle.

This official "home" jersey, which will therefore be worn at Ernest-Wallon, is available for the tidy sum of 140 euros (90 euros for the "replica" model). It remains to be seen what will be the other outfits of the Stadium this season, and whether Toulouse will dare to go green, like its rival Clermont.
