Argentinian Lionel Messi has chosen to leave the FC Barcelona club this summer, as reported by the Blaugrana club on Tuesday evening. The 33-year-old "Pulga" does not want to extend his career in Catalonia, where he was trained and where he won 33 titles, including four Champions Leagues.

It's a real earthquake on the football world: Lionel Messi has communicated to the leaders of FC Barcelona his desire to leave the Catalan club this summer, after the humiliation suffered against Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the League of champions (2-8). The Spanish and Argentinian media Marca and TyC Sports are at the origin of this information, confirmed by the club, which speaks of a "unilateral" decision of the player.

The 33-year-old "Pulga" arrived in Barcelona in 2000 at the age of 13. After training at La Masia, he joined the professional workforce in 2004. With the blaugranas, he won no less than 33 titles, including four editions of the Champions League (2006, 2009, 2011 and 2015).
