And after two qualifying races, they were both exactly the same. Kristoffersson won the first race, before Ekström.

In the next qualifying race (Q2), the reverse result was when Ekström was fastest.

- Ekström gets up and drives, really fun to see him give everything, says SVT Sports expert Jonas Kruse about Mattias Ekström's progress.

Kruse also celebrates Kristoffersson's starts.

- Kristoffersson lives on the starts. He is not the fastest on the track, but has a lot to work on there, says Jonas Kruse.

Saturday's flop, Norwegian Andreas Bakkerud has started Sunday's run better and is currently fifth in the qualifiers. However, it is still a bit difficult for the reigning world champion Timmy Hansen.

- There have been new problems for Hansen today, he has the speed, but also a lot of bad luck, says Jonas Kruse.

"Good potential in the car"

Before today's race, Kristoffersson was satisfied with the preparations for this year's second World Cup competition.

- We must continue to work on what started yesterday. We have the same settings and it feels like there is good potential in the car, he said before the start of the qualifiers.

Mattias Ekström looked forward to a new fight on Sunday.

- It has been a very different preparation for me, with just under two weeks notice. Now I still came second yesterday, which is not something I dream of, but I was still happy about it and Johan did well, Mattias Ekström told Fia World Rallycross website.
