Bologna coach Mihajlovic tested positive for Corona virus

The Italian club, Bologna, announced today that its Serbian coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is infected with the new Corona virus, which makes the former international defender in a difficult health condition, especially as he was suffering from leukemia.
Bologna revealed that his 51-year-old coach is not showing any symptoms and is currently in quarantine for two weeks.
In compliance with the approved health protocols, all players and staff in Bologna will undergo the tests on Monday before the start of preparations for the new season, which begins on September 19.
Mihajlovic had previously missed the team’s preparations for the start of the last season after he was diagnosed with leukemia, and he underwent a bone marrow transplant.
In June, Bologna decided to reward the Serbian with an extension of his contract until 2023, after he insisted on continuing his work despite illness.
Mihajlovic took over as coach of Bologna in January 2019, succeeding Filippo Inzaghi, and has made a significant contribution to the team's survival in the first division.
Bologna ended the current season, which was interrupted for months due to the outbreak of the "Covid-19" pandemic, in twelfth place, led by the Serbian, who had previously supervised the team from November 2008 until April 2009.
