Just like for the men, this year's Champions League final will be decided with a special format. All matches are played in Spain (San Sebastian and Bilbao), and the final - which starts tomorrow with quarter-finals - is decided by single meetings.

One of the matches is an all-Spanish meeting, where this year's league winner Barcelona will face second-placed Atletico Madrid.

"Thoughts came"

In Atletico, where the Swedish national team goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl is set to make his competition debut, the upload has been special. Last week, it was stated that as many as five players tested positive for covid-19, but no one was seriously ill.

- We would play a match, and you always do tests before matches, and then a positive result came out, Lindahl tells SVT Sport.

Were you worried yourself then?

- Yes, some thoughts came. You thought about how close you were to it yourself. But there was never any real concern. The only thing I was worried about was if I gave anything to my children, but in this case it was calm.

No sick player in the squad

However, the Corona outbreak does not stop the match. And if the team was not tipped enough to defeat before the match against Barcelona - which has world stars like Lieke Martens in the squad - then the odds on Atletico would probably be even higher after the corona fall. None of the players are in the squad for tomorrow's match.

- We probably have all the odds against us. We really had a tough recharging before this. Meeting Barcelona, which is already a leader in Spain on paper, is difficult. But with our recharging, it became even more difficult. But for me it will only be an even bigger challenge. But if you succeed with that challenge, you have a chance to do something historic, so hopefully it provides more inspiration than anything else for the whole team, Lindahl says.

Yes, with the charge you have had and only one training match ahead, how does it feel to enter the Champions League quarter-finals tomorrow?

- I would say that it's most fun. Just a great challenge. Tough, of course. We have to prepare as much as we can until the last minute. We are such a new team and have trained so little time together and tested so little, and there are a lot of question marks. But I try to think of the positive, but I still have a really good feeling.

- We are a good bunch who have welded together in a short time, perhaps thanks to the fact that it has been tough. It will be exciting to see what we can do and if we can be smart.

Yes, how will you go into the match?

- I can not reveal our tactics, but we must be smart. We do not have as many training matches with us, and physically we are not on the same level as Barcelona - so we have to manage our energy, I can say that. We'll see if we can be smart enough to put our energy where it is needed.

Do you know for sure if you will play?

- I do not think we will get the team until tomorrow, but I am pretty sure that they will play with me because they have not registered the other girl who has experience from big teams. So it's probably going to be me.

Three more Swedes are in the play-off teams: Fridolina Rolfö, whose Wolfsburg will meet Glasgow Rangers tomorrow, and Hanna Glas and Amanda Ilestedt's Bayern Munich who will face reigning champions Lyon on Saturday.
