Petter Northug was stopped in speed control after driving 168 kilometers per hour on a 110 road. This led to the police searching Northug's home where they found cocaine. He is now suspected of speeding, for being under the influence of drugs and drug possession.

When Johannes Hösflot Kläbo joined the national team, Petter Northug was a role model, and now the ski star speaks about Petter Northug's actions.

- First of all, it is clear that I strongly dissociate myself from the action itself. Then as a role model, it is unacceptable and it is a pity it has become so. I feel that you have a responsibility as there are many others along the way as well. So it is definitely something that I strongly dissociate myself from, says Kläbo to NRK.

- Then as for the man Petter Northug, I hope that he will be taken care of by those around him.

"Come as a shock"

Johannes Häsflot Kläbo himself has been in contact with Petter Northug after the water madness journey.

- It came as a shock, and I think it did for everyone. We can only hope that he gets the help he needs and that he has people around him who help him recover.
