Loui Sand has quit.

Marie Wall has become a mother.

Olivia Mellegård is long-term injured.

This means that Tomas Axnér may complete the planned European Championship play-offs in Denmark and Norway without three people who have been given left-handers in the Swedish national team.

- The players who have participated in most championships are now missing. Mellegård was the last in that frame. It's a hard blow for us. Especially considering that there are many untested cards behind her at the moment. I said to Mellegård this summer, "stay healthy, you are an important player for us", says Tomas Axnér to SVT Sport.

"There will be more"

Axnér is critical of how Copenhagen has taken care of its players.

- I was actually over and watched Copenhagen last week, I saw her play. I also saw what schedule they had with three matches in four days. Plus other training with a fairly thin squad. There will be more victims, he says and continues:

- The clubs must also be careful with our players. It must not just be in the sense that they have views that players who have been injured in the championship will come home. They have to take care of the players in a better way than Copenhagen did in this case.

The league captain will now try to find a replacement in SHE.

- There are of course alternatives in the domestic league, we get to look more there. Then they may not have the international experience, they have not played at that level. But at the same time, you only get routine by being involved, says Axnér.
