Surprise .. The European Union wants fans to attend the Super Cup

The European Football Association (UEFA) plans to use the European Super Cup match in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, next month, "as a test match in which a small number of spectators could be allowed to attend," the Confederation announced today.

All UEFA member federations, which number 55, discussed the issue of fans returning to matches amid the new Corona virus pandemic, in a closed-circuit television meeting (video conference), according to UEFA.

Nevertheless, (UEFA) clarified that "it would be premature" to allow fans to be present in the upcoming Nations League matches, scheduled for next September, stressing that "a match or test matches should be conducted to carefully study the effect of spectators on the current medical protocols."

The European Super Cup will be held on September 24, between the winner of the European League final, which takes place the day after tomorrow, and the winner of the Champions League final next Sunday. "The fact that players will be tested regularly in any case as part of UEFA's comprehensive return-to-play protocol. We must ensure that such exemptions do not pose any danger to society," UEFA stressed. He revealed that the results of the discussions will be presented to his Executive Committee in the coming days for decision-making.
