Hans Cavalli-Björkman was born in 1928 in Jönköping and worked for most of his career as a banker at Skandinaviska Banken, and later SEB, in Malmö.

In 1975, he took over the chairmanship of Malmö FF after the legendary Eric Persson, and led the club to great success until the end of the 1990s and was then honorary chairman.

It was a period when MFF, among other things, won five Swedish Championship gold medals and in 1979 reached the final of the European Cup.

- He was a very driving and strong chairman who was involved in professionalizing MFF and laying the foundation for the modern association that we are today. I remember Hans as a colorful, extrovert and happy person who did not hesitate to express his opinions. He did a lot of good for Malmö FF, says MFF's chairman Anders Pålsson to the club's website.
