Where will the Lyonnais stop, promised an early elimination and finally proudly present in the last four of a Champions League marked by the coronavirus crisis? After eliminating Juventus Turin in the round of 16 and Manchester City in the quarter-finals, it is another cador of European football who stands up against OL: Wednesday evening, in Lisbon (9 p.m.), Bayern Munich will try to justify his status as a favorite in this semi-final, to join Paris Saint-Germain in the final on Sunday. Follow the match under live conditions on Europe 1 and Europe1.fr until 11:30 p.m.

Olympique Lyonnais - Bayern Munich: kick-off at 9 p.m.

The meeting can also be followed live on the antenna of Europe 1 until 11:30 p.m.

The composition point: the 3-5-2 renewed by Garcia? To face a Bayern Munich which is used to evolving in a classic formation in 4-2-3-1, Lyon should again evolve in 3-5-2, with lateral placed high, like Maxwel Cornet. Memphis Depay, Houssem Aouar, Marcelo… The executives of the Rhone team will logically be aligned from the start. The only real unknown concerns the position of right striker: as against Manchester Citiy, Karl Toko-Ekambi should start the game, with the top scorer of the season, Moussa Dembélé, on the bench.

Update on Bayern Munich: the best team of the European season. The Bavarians are the favorites of this "Final 8". This status does not arise out of nowhere: Hans-Dieter Flick's players largely dominated their opponents during this 2019-2020 European campaign. Six wins out of six group matches, big performances against Tottenham (7-2 away), Belgrade (6-0 away), Chelsea (3-0 and 4-1) and, of course, this demonstration against Barcelona in the previous round (8-2). The Lyonnais will have to work to thwart Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Müller, Serge Gnabry and others.

Update on the French from across the Rhine: all replacements? Benjamin Pavard barely returned from injury, David Alaba probably privileged to Lucas Hernandez, Mickaël Cuisance not yet at the level of the typical team, Goretzka or Kimmich preferred to the former Lyonnais Corentin Tolisso… If Kingsley Coman does not have the favors of "Hansi" Flick at kick-off, all French in Bavaria will be substitutes, in a team which has won 23 of its 24 matches in 2020.

The historical point: a revenge to be taken for Lyon.  This is the second time in its history that the Lyonnais have reached the semi-finals of the competition. The first time was exactly ten years ago, and it was already Bayern Munich against them. Led by Ivica Olic, Franck Ribéry and Arjen Robben, the Bavarians had swept OL (1-0, 3-0) before losing in the final against Inter Milan.
