Midfielder Rose Lavelle, who scored in the World Cup final against the Netherlands last year, has signed for Manchester City.

Lavelle has just signed for the American club OL Reign. She leaves before she has time to play a match to test her luck in Europe and get the chance to play in the Champions League.
- Manchester City is a very good club on both the women's and men's side. They have enormous resources. I do not have a good view of the city yet but I know that the football culture is incredible and that was something I wanted to be a part of.
