Stade Toulousain announced a new recruit on Monday: second row Thibaud Flament will join Ernest-Wallon for three years at the end of October, at the end of the current English championship season he is playing with Wasps.

"Joining this legendary club has a flavor all the more particular as after having tasted Argentine and English rugby, it will be the first time in my life that I will play in a French club", indicates the young Frenchman of 23 years, presented as athletic, mobile and aerial, on the Stadium site.

Born in Paris, Flament grew up in Belgium where he discovered his sport, before practicing it in England and then in Argentina. Back across the Channel, the solid “Frenchy” (2.03 m, 110 kg) really exploded a year ago with the Coventry Wasps, who went to find him nearby, at Loughborough University.

Left France at three

This fall, Flament will return to France, a country he left at the age of three. By then, he will have to finish the Championship, whose 2019-2020 season, on hiatus because of the Covid-19, resumed this weekend.

🐝 Wasps can today confirm that @Thibaud_Flament will be leaving the Club at the end of the current season.

👏 Thank you for your contribution to Wasps Rugby. We wish you all the best for your future career #OnceAWasp https://t.co/xPmL28E5zD
