The 18-year-old from Värmland dominated the competition and was 20.1 seconds ahead of Norwegian World Cup driver Mads Östberg. Third was the Russian Alexey Lukanyuk who leads the European Championships before the Swedish winner.

Solberg was fastest on six of the ten special stages in Rally Liepaja, where he thrives. Last year, he took his first European Championship victory right here.

The first weekend in September, the World Cup series with Rally Estonia resumes.
