Alvin was eighth and tenth in the two World Cup heats in the MX2 class in Kegums, Latvia. Östlund's best WC result since 2017.
- I had slightly higher expectations than that. But I have to be better from the start to get where I want, says Alvin to SVT Sport.
The World Cup circus has had an intense period of one-week competitions in Latvia.
- It has gone better and better. Eleven, ten and now nine, says Alvin, who trained purposefully during the corona pandemic.
- I have had a good period where I was able to ride hard on and off the bike.
The next World Cup competition will be run in Turkey on 6 September.
