The first suspension of the Football Association after the postponement of the World Cup 2022 qualifiers

The supervisor of the national football team, Mohamed Obaid Hammad, described in the first comment by an official of the national team on the decision of the AFC to postpone the joint qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, which were scheduled to play in October and November until 2021, that the postponement may be a positive aspect. For the technical staff to have ample time to follow the players as well as the League and AFC Champions League matches.

"I hope to resume the activity without stopping, which gives the coach a space to choose new players and follow up on his players who were in the camp," Hammad said in statements via a video tape broadcast by the Football Association.

The national team plays in joint qualifiers in Group G, which includes Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Hammad described the atmosphere of the national camp in Serbia as positive, considering the location of the camp in Serbia is excellent, noting that the options were limited in obtaining a place for the camp.

"The players during the last period have done well and have been diligent and committed, and there is a complete response from them despite the fact that the training was hard," he added.
