Team captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson and his Arizona Coyotes had sat in a difficult seat in the round of 16 against Colorado. This is when Gabriel Landeskog so far led the captaincy battle as his team won the two previous battles.

When it was time for match three, a victory was necessary for Arizona to get into the match series.

Then the team's goalkeeper Darcy Kuemper stepped forward - and played great.

The 30-year-old Canadian saved a total of 49 shots when Arizona managed to win 4-2.

Decided late

But despite Kuemper's great play, this was a match that lived all the way to the end. In the 2-1 lead for Arizona, Taylor Hall was able to put 3-1 in the open goal, this 80 seconds from full time.

But when Mikko Rantanen then reduced to 3-2 with barely a minute left, it was still exciting until the final whistle.

Then Lawson closed Crouse by putting the final score to 4-2, five seconds from the end.

The victory was necessary for Arizona who now reduced to 2-1 in matches. The Swedish points in the match were scored by Niklas Hjalmarsson, when he assisted to the last goal of the match.
