A new shock for Barcelona because of Coutinho and Liverpool

The Spanish newspaper "Sport", close to Barcelona, revealed that the club received a new shock added to the humiliating and historic defeat of Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League by 8-2, which is unprecedented in the history of the club. The newspaper confirmed that Barcelona is obligated to pay 5 million euros to Liverpool FC in the event that the Brazilian Coutinho completes his way with Bayern and crowned the title of the competition.

She said that the club's management was involved in a disastrous contract with Coutinho, starting with the contract value of 160 million euros (140 million + 20 million bonuses), then the club did not benefit from the player throughout the previous period that he played with him, and eventually he was forced to loan him to Bayern Munich, who He plays for him now, for only 8 million euros. Barcelona paid 5 million euros last season to Liverpool, after losing to the same team in the semi-finals. Yesterday in the capital Lisbon, Coutinho, who entered as a substitute at the end of the match, was behind the last three goals of Bayern, as he made a goal for Lewandowski, and ensured that he scored two goals against his former team.

Liverpool's management was clever when it imposed its conditions on Barcelona in the Coutinho contract, as it included bonuses related to crowning or reaching the semi-finals in the Champions League, according to each season of Coutinho's seasons in the decade, so the second (last) season was conditional on paying 5 million euros in the event of the semi-final. And in the current season, with five million euros, in the event that Coutinho was crowned the champions, as long as his contract with his club Barcelona is in effect.

It was possible for Barcelona to avoid this financial impasse if he sold the player's card last summer, but kept it, and only loaned him, to incur a new financial shock, in a disastrous season par excellence.
