Anthony Yigit has been a professional for over eight years. After the London 2012 Olympics, he became a professional boxer and moved to Germany. It was also when he suffered from eating disorders.

In Expressen, the 28-year-old talks about how his desire to keep the right weight developed into an eating disorder. In Germany he lived alone and was very anxious. He made sure to vomit out the food he had just eaten.

- I had developed a bulimia behavior. I told myself that I could quit at any time, but I did not, he tells Expressen.

- Most people probably think that it is mostly girls who suffer from eating disorders.

Better but not good

After Germany, he has competed in Denmark and Spain, and over the years it got worse. Even though he won his boxing matches, he has only lost one of his 26 professional matches, so he felt worse and worse. It became like a vicious circle.

Everything turned for the better after he met his girlfriend who also had experiences of eating disorders and he then realized that he had mental problems.

But even if it's much better now, he's not completely healthy.

- I still vomit sometimes, he says.
