The Bergamo team Atalanta has only played a semi-final in a European Cup once in history: the Cup Winners' Cup 1987-88, where they lost to Belgian Mechelen.

Tonight they looked to get to their second European semi-final, when the team led for a long time with 1-0 against the French big team Paris Saint-Germain.

Left shot in the crossbar

The lead goal came half an hour into the match. Duvan Zapata dropped the ball outside the penalty area, but it bounced to the Croatian Mario Pasalic on the right.

Pasalic then struck with his left foot on a strike - and got to a cannon hit and the ball went into the far cross.

Marquinhos acknowledged

The second half was basically a single long PSG meeting, but the Paris team - which has only played a single competitive match since mid-March - had a hard time creating really hot chances.

But in the end it came. Marquinhos equalized in the 89th minute after a tangled situation in the penalty area, and then - in the third extra minute - Neymar put 2-1.

Thus, PSG is ready for its first Champions League semi-final in 1995 (loss to Milan). There they will face the winner in tomorrow's match between Emil Forsbergs Leipzig and Atletico Madrid.
