Before tonight's match in Malmö, Linköping was six points behind runner-up Rosengård, and another after league-leading Gothenburg.

A victory was thus more or less a must, if the team could catch on in the gold battle.

But it did not happen. There was not a single point.

The team certainly hung in nicely in the first half, which Rosengård won 2-1.

But in the second half there was never any talk about it. After Mimmi Larsson, who carefully took advantage of a return that Linköping's goalkeeper Matilda Haglund chattered out.

The goal was Larsson's second for the evening, and there would be two more before the match was over.

The fourth was probably the prettiest. She rounded a rushing Matilda Haglund in the closing seconds and then put the ball in the open goal.
