“Today, we are rewarded for all our efforts since the recovery. We have to get out of the greats of Europe, we brought this Juventus out in the round of 16, which is already quite extraordinary. It's a party but it remains measured too, we know what we want, where we want to go, we are on our way to Lisbon next week ”.

Anthony Lopes made a small revelation at RMC's microphone on Friday after the heroic qualification of the Lyonnais for the Lisbon Final 8 despite the defeat in Turin in the round of 16 second leg (2-1). The Lyonnais were sober in the locker room, because they do not consider the Turin feat as an end of itself. Despite an archi-complicated picture (Manchester City in the quarter-finals, perhaps Bayern or Barcelona in the semi-finals), OL want to believe that the particular format of this Lisbon summer can allow them to go to the end and to return to C1 next year.

“In a match anything is possible, we have the ambition to go far, now having released this Juventus in 8th we have to see higher, we have the right to see higher of course even if a lot of nobody don't think we can go any further. But we believe in it. To be European there is only that (winning the LOC, note), we had the solution last Friday we did not manage to seize it. If we want to play a European competition it is by winning the Champions League. To go to the end in this competition there will only be big ones on our way, it is up to us to show that we are also part of the big leagues ”.
